Lynx™ Personnel/Material Hoist

Product Description

The Lynx Hoist System is a rugged, versatile and economical hoist for lifting, lowering and positioning of personnel and materials. Designed for a maximum workload of 310 lbs. for personnel (10:1 design factor) and 620 lbs. for materials (5:1 design factor). All steel construction with an internal shock absorber that operates even when usable length of line is fully extracted. Load-limiting clutch prevents loading hoist in excess of 620 lbs. Emergency drive allows manual bypass of load-limiting clutch for extra lifting capacity. Load indicator is displayed once the clutch is activated (load over 620 lbs.). Primary gear backed up by two independent secondary brakes. Crank is anti-backlash and has a 5:1 gear ratio and a lifting/lowering speed of 25 ft. per minute. Side, boom and socket mount hoists have integral brackets for attachment to the Lynx™ Tripod, Davit Systems and qualified anchorage connectors. Each unit has a galvanized or stainless steel wire rope line with a self-locking swivel snaphook. Optional air drive adapter enables powered lifting/lowering with separate air-powered drive assembly.

Dyna-Brake® Energy Absorbing Lanyards

Product Description

Dyna-Brake Energy Absorbing Lanyards are a component of a personal fall arrest system. The lanyards are available in strap, rope and wire rope configurations with a variety of snaphooks.

Principle(s) of Operation

Dyna-Brake Energy Absorbing Lanyards provide a means of connection between the back (dorsal) D-ring of MSA (FP) full body harnesses and a qualified anchorage and anchorage connector. The energy absorber keeps fall arrest forces below ANSI and OSHA limits and deceleration distance is controlled to a maximum of 42 inches.

Sure-Grab Rope Grab

Product Description

The SVLR78 Sure-Grab device and lifeline is used to provide temporary fall protection on ladders or when climbing vertical structures. This system can also be used to provide a secondary lifeline for suspended positioning systems used by building/structure inspectors, window cleaners, and maintenance personnel.

Principle(s) of Operation

The Sure-Grab device moves freely up or down an approved 5/8 (16 mm) diameter lifeline. When sudden downward movement occurs, a camming lever is activated arresting the fall. The device can be installed or removed from the lifeline at any point along its length.

20-Foot Wire Rope Dyna-Lock Self-Retracting Lanyard

Product Description

The MSA Dyna-Lock Self-Retracting Lanyards (SRL) are fast-acting fall arresters that limit free-fall distance, deceleration distance and fall arrest forces while allowing user freedom of movement. The Dyna-Lock SRL is ideal for climbing applications where vertical mobility is needed.

Principle(s) of Operation

The Dyna-Lock SRL has a 4.5 feet per second locking speed. A built-in shock absorber limits fall arrest forces to under 900 lbf. Three continuously moving independent braking mechanisms prevent freezing in icy or corrosive conditions. Available with 3/16 inch galvanized or stainless steel wire rope, or 1 inch wide nylon webbing. A forged steel, zinc-plated, self-locking swivel snaphook is present on each unit with a load indicator that activates and alerts the user when the Dyna-Lock SRL has been impact loaded.
