GCAP has 5 unique divisions:

The Garden City Ammonia Program, LLC (GCAP) is a privately owned third-party industrial utilities educational company. GCAP provides education, training, testing, certifications, auditing, development, RAGAGEP, training material, training books, and consulting within our various divisions. A few trades and professions include boilers, refrigeration, regulations, safety, and industrial heat transfer applications. GCAP mandates quality control through the commissioning of examiners, instructors, educational facilities and their associated programs and classes.

All certifications are achieved through an associated class that range from 20 to 0 hours of in class instructions, live equipment demonstration, and competency testing of all course materials including books, handouts, labs, and demonstration requirements. GCAP assists federal, state, and local municipal licensing and certifications programs in maintaining existing programs and creating new. GCAP’s currently has over 25,000+ certificates issued since the company’s existence in 2003 representing over 1,100+ different end-users within North America and beyond.

Individual certifications issued by GCAP are only active within a three-year time period and are only supported when they are active. A well trained operator should know how to maintain and operate the plant’s equipment in the most efficient manner while keeping safety in mind, demonstrating competence and knowledge as well as best engineering practices. We believe that keeping up with the industry’s technology is the key to our success when we promote GCAP’s hands-on training labs.

Mission Statement: Enhance the technology, efficiency, safety and educate the industrial technician through commitment.

GCAP would like to thank you for investing your time and resources into our training program. When you attend a GCAP course, you are joining a family of thousands of professionals throughout the world.  Please always think of the GCAP team as a resource at your disposal when you have any questions about PSM/RMP, or any other industrial refrigeration topic.

Randy Williams (President of GCAP) believes that the implementation of an effective training program is one of the the most important steps that an employer can take to enhance employee safety.  Accordingly, PSM and RMP require that each employee presently involved in operating a process or a newly assigned process shall be trained in an overview of the process and in its operating procedures.  GCAP is here to help you understand the training requirements of your operators.

If you feel that the training you received is not superior to any other refrigeration training program in the country, then the course is FREE!  If one of your operators (student) does not feel they are ready to operator your system after completing the Ammonia Operator I course with your plants specific SOP’s then they can return by just paying the “Administration Fee.”

As you face ever-increasing challenges to train your operators and get the most from your training investments; we’re ready to help you meet those demands.  With hands-on evaluations and employee involvement; our training processes are tailored to target specific plant needs.
