Randy Williams is a full time instructor for GCAP and has more training/contact hours with industrial refrigeration operators in the lasts four years than any other single instructor in the US. Close to four thousand operators have been trained through the programs he has been associated with. He is very proud of being one of the lead instructors at Garden City Ammonia Program - Industrial Refrigeration Training Department, one of the nations recognized premier programs. He has worked in the industrial refrigeration field since 1978 and is a consultant providing system design, troubleshooting, engineering and training. His passed students has nick name him, "The Wizard of Industrial Refrigeration". He is up to date on the latest technology and is an active member in IIAR, RETA, IPIA and IARW. He has been a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society. He was licensed as a commercial refrigeration-boiler contractor for over 15 years in the state of Texas (HCFC & NH3 systems) He worked with the Department of Energy (DOE) from 1995-1998 on feasibility analyses with the electrical and maintenance department. From there he advanced into nuclear weapon dismantlement-safety program where he held the nations highest national security clearance and received two high achievement awards. He is a co-author of the IAR training standard, and author of the new Industrial Ammonia Operator I training manual that is being used in GCAP's program. He is a member of the iiar marketing committee & national certification task force for the year 2002-2004. He is proud to have actively trained operators for over 300 of the world's largest food & beverage companies. Mr. Williams has trained over 75 process safety managers/operators to revise their own programs to be more user friendly. He is completing his bachelors degree in Engineering Technology through Ratchford University.
